This Etherling was sculpted with the intention of channeling the energy of Red-Eyed Tree Frogs. Red-Eyed Tree Frogs are symbols of transformation, adaptability, emotional cleansing, and awareness.
This Etherling dwells in the space between pause and movement, quietly observing. Its many eyes offer clarity and presence, encouraging attentiveness.
This piece was wheel-thrown and trimmed. The eyes and frogs were individually sculpted during the leather-hard stage. It was under-glazed and bisque-fired, then coated with a zinc-free clear glaze for the final firing. Final finishing included wet sanding and polishing.
