Becoming Mask

This mask features many elements; all with purpose.

The spiral form symbolizes cycles of becoming, as well as inward and outward growth. The runes form a layered invocation of transformation; moving through initiation, deep inner change, and emergence into clarity and protection. 

This decorative mask was created through a slow, intentional process. Each piece is hand-sculpted with deep thought and care, then bisque fired before an underglaze wash and zinc-free clear glaze are applied. It is then finished with a final glaze firing.
